New approaches to classic questions in ecology and evolution
Organizer: Jenn Caselle, WSN President
This symposium will bring together speakers from across disciplines who are using new approaches or tools applied to ‘classic’ questions in ecology and evolution. Using case studies from their work and that of others, speakers will discuss how new approaches have offered different results or conclusions than previous work, and in some cases, have even changed our fundamental understanding of long-held beliefs in ecology or evolution.
After the symposium, each speaker will chair a contributed session based on the topic of their talks (all 4 to be run concurrently following the conclusion of the presidential symposium). We encourage anyone interested in presenting in these Special Topic Sessions to select the appropriate session at abstract submission.
